Top 4 Wedding Venues in Golden, BC (with Flower Tips from a Local Florist!)
Thinking about getting married in Golden, BC? Whether you’re planning a cozy elopement or a full-on mountain celebration, there’s no shortage of dreamy spots to say “I do.” As a wedding florist based right here in Golden, I’ve been lucky to work at some incredible venues. Here are my top five favourites.
1. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort
📍 Golden, BC – mountaintop ceremony access by gondola
This is Golden’s showstopper venue. Get married at the top of the gondola with panoramic views of the Rockies in every direction. Then head inside to Eagle’s Eye Restaurant for the reception.
🌸 Flower Tip:
Go bold! Jewel tones like burgundy, plum, and deep green really pop against the sky and stone. Keeping it classic with all white and greenery is a great option as well! Keep in mind: it can get windy up there — secure ceremony installs are a must!
2. Hillside Lodge & Chalets
📍 15 minutes from Golden, tucked in the trees
This venue offers a private, forested escape with a riverside ceremony location and a gorgeous rustic barn reception space. It’s peaceful, intimate, and perfect for nature lovers.
🌸 Flower Tip:
Gorgeous blooms in dusty rose, deep plum and dried florals feel right at home here. Bud vases down long tables and whimsical meadow-style aisle markers add charm without overpowering the natural setting
3. Emerald Lake Lodge
📍 Field, BC – just 30 minutes from Golden
🌸 Flower Tip:
Think soft tones inspired by the lake itself: blues, whites, and gentle greens — photograph beautifully year-round. Airy delphinium, hydrangea, stock, lisianthus, chamomile daisies, and textural touches like Queen Anne’s lace or local foliage. These blooms balance romance with a hint of wild, while still holding up well outdoors.

4. Columbia Wetlands Outpost
📍 About 15 minutes south of Golden
If you’re dreaming of alllll the mountain views with a venue that feels like your own private getaway — Columbia Wetlands Outpost is that place. Chill vibes, gorgeous cabins, and pure BC wilderness.
🌸 Flower Tip:
Think texture and warmth. Eucalyptus, ruscus, and soft blooms in champagne, dusty rose, or sage pair beautifully with the wood tones.
